Practice Information

We are happy to connect with you here! This wild, painful, beautiful human experience can be a lot to process on our own. It can be empowering to sort it out with a compassionate mental health professional who can be a support throughout your emotional growth. We offer counseling for a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, unsettling life transitions, personal and professional relationships, finding purpose and making meaning, and creative practice. We believe that we all hold the potential for creative healing engagement with ourselves, in relationships, and in the world.

Our practice specializes in working with artists, writers, musicians, designers, and creatives. We are artists and writers ourselves, as well as mental health counselors. Carin Rodenborn Wohadlo is licensed in Colorado and Rhode Island, Jen Denrow is licensed in Oregon, and our counseling clients reside in these respective states. If you reside outside of the three states in which we offer counseling, we do offer coaching through the lens of your own creative work.

We love working with artists and writers, but you do not need to identify as an artist or writer to collaborate in therapy with us. The arts are for everyone, but not everyone will make it their life’s work. We will always meet you where you are in collaboration for your well-being. We are queer-affirming and neurodiversity-affirming therapists, and all are welcome. We are committed to cultural competence and cultural humility in our therapy practice and our personal lives.

FAQS

What services does your practice offer?

Postcards from You is a collective practice working with clients in Colorado, Oregon, and Rhode Island. We work with individual adults and couples. Our sessions are virtual, and we meet through the Zencare platform, which is HIPAA compliant.

Why should I choose your practice?

We are committed to showing up with compassion, without judgment, and in service of your personal growth and healing. As artists, writers, teachers, and mental health counselors, we have dedicated our lives to creating connection and depth in relationships. We will meet you where you are to creatively engage in conversations that will support your goals. We are excited to learn from you what is on your mind and in your heart.

What are your practice's specialties?

We specialize in working with deep thinkers and deep feelers. Artists, poets, writers, musicians: We know you are deep feelers and deep thinkers. You are the noticers. The ones who see and hear and wonder about both the big picture and the beautiful details. The ones who ask questions and explore and experiment. And sometimes all the noticing and depth can feel like A LOT to navigate. We have years of both personal and professional experience helping artists and writers engage with intense feelings in ways that are supportive of well-being.

Our creative practices and our lived lives are intertwined and ever-evolving. This can foster a life lived deeply with meaning, and it can also present some challenges. We specialize in helping artist-identified clients sort through these challenges.

How does payment work at your practice?

Postcards from You accepts some insurance plans in Colorado and Rhode Island. We support private pay clients at $125 per 55 minute session. We offer a sliding scale between $75-$125 based on need. You are welcome to inquire about our sliding scale during your free consultation call. We are happy to provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Out-of-network payments are made with debit or credit card through Zencare. Insurance copays are made through Headway, a third party insurance platform.
