Professional statement

I am a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist-Consultant (CEDS-C), size inclusive provider, and registered yoga teacher with 15 years of experience working with eating disorders and body image concerns. Originally from the Pacific NW, I relocated and made new roots in Southern New England in 2009.

I discovered my curiosity for working with others, passion for nutrition science, and how the human body works at a young age. I’ve enthusiastically dedicated my career to helping others find peace and enjoyment in their relationship with food, and deeply passionate about the treatment of eating disorders, helping clients navigate to full recovery, and deconstructing diet culture. All of this through the lens of compassion, trauma informed best practice, and inclusivity. While I work with a variety of clients with nourishment concerns, I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA+ and gender expansive clients. I understand that becoming more attuned to internal wisdom about wants and needs is not easy, and yet hold space for patience, practice, reflection, and encourage a ton of aligned providers around you no matter the outcome.

In every session, I work to bring joyful energy, thoughtfulness, and warmth into the nutrition counseling process. I practice a respect and dignity for whole person model, to develop a supportive, sustainable nourishment path with each person.

In addition to individual counseling, I offer professional supervision & consultation to RDs. I look forward to working with you!

Message to clients

As a dietitian and a woman in this culture, I can empathize with the many people who have struggled with food and their body. It is my life's work to help people connect/reconnect with their bodies and relationship food in a way that feels accessible and sustainable.

When it comes to navigating health in a wellness industry, it is challenging! As a nutrition therapist, my hope is to sit along side you to navigate fact from fiction, hold space for healing & self compassion, and to create meaningful change.

Professional endorsements

"Liz and I have worked together on eating disorder cases. Liz is a nutritionist, and I am a therapist. She and I also are part of a professional peer group in which we consult and advise on cases. In this group, Liz and I also receive support to make sure that our team goals are aligned with the needs of the client. I highly recommend Liz as a nutritionist. Eating disorders can have a tight grip on clients, and clients can feel very defeated in their fight against the eating disorder and their desire for recovery. I often request that Liz participate on eating disorders clinical teams. Liz is a very experienced, knowledgeable clinician who is masterful at meeting clients where they are at - seeing where they are ready to make shifts in their food intake. Liz is also kind and supportive, setting up an environment where clients feel free to share their food challenges and to move away from the places they feel so stuck around food. She is a joy to work with, and the eating disorder field is lucky to have her."

"I work with Liz in collaboration on eating disorder cases. She is fantastic. Liz has an incredible way with clients. She is clear, compassionate and thoroughly invested in the person and their needs. She practices ongoing stellar collaboration. With eating disorder cases, it’s extremely important have every team member on the same page because of the facets of the disease. Liz sees the whole person holistically. She's amazing, and I love working together. I would send her all my clients if her office was closer to Massachusetts!n"

Client testimonials

"I’ve worked with Liz Fayram for over 1.5 years and in that time she has helped me to grow and heal in ways I never thought were possible. I had been bulimic throughout college and came to Liz a few years later; though I had stopped purging by the time I saw Liz, many of the behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that I had during the time I was actively bulimic were still very present. From my first session with Liz, I have felt fully respected, cared for, and safe in her office. In sessions with Liz I have felt comfortable feeling emotions I often shy away from and I have shared and described vulnerabilities that I do not often expose. Liz has taught me so many practical tools that I use now in my everyday life, she has gently nudged me to expand my perspective and find new, positive meanings and experiences with food and body image, and she has supported me as I’ve enhanced my compassion for myself. I always leave Liz’s office feeling empowered, hopeful, and with increased self-love."

"Liz is amazing at her job. She is thoughtful, kind, and probing. She helps you understand yourself by making you answer a lot of your own questions while at the same time giving you the support you need to take whatever next steps you are ready to take without fear. Liz has helped me address so many of my issues, from my straight up confusion about what my body can and cannot handle eating to the emotional uneasiness I felt when being there for myself after a binge to those ever difficult questions about what I value and who I am. I look forward to our meetings and am so grateful for the work we do together!"
