Professional statement

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Doctor of Nursing Practice with nearly two decades of experience in healthcare. I specialize in psychiatric mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. I provide care to individuals ages 13 and above. For adolescents ages 13–17, my services are limited to ADHD treatment through medication management only. For adults age 18 and over, I offer comprehensive psychiatric services, including evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy.

I previously served as a PMHNP within the Massachusetts prison system for three years, treating individuals in minimum, medium, and maximum-security settings. Following this, I worked for five years in outpatient private practice in Rhode Island. I now own and operate my own outpatient psychiatric practice, Top Choice Telepsychiatry LLC, located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. While most appointments are conducted virtually, in-person sessions are available upon request at my discretion.

In addition to standard clinical services, I offer self-pay in-office intensive retreat experiences and host self-pay seminars focused on mental health topics. All retreat and seminar offerings are scheduled in advance only.

Top Choice Telepsychiatry LLC™ also hosts the Top Choice Telepsychiatry Podcast, where I speak on mental health, personal growth, and the real-life experiences that shape how we show up in the world. The podcast is an extension of the work we do in session—supporting clarity, insight, and meaningful change.

Message to clients

I provide collaborative care grounded in clinical expertise. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice, my role is to help you understand your experiences, make informed decisions, and move toward meaningful change. I work with individuals age 13 and older. For adolescents ages 13–17, I provide medication management for ADHD only and do not offer therapy in that age group. For adults 18+, I assess, diagnose, and treat a range of mental health concerns via medication management and psychotherapy. Top Choice Telepsychiatry LLC™ also hosts the Top Choice Telepsychiatry Podcast, where I speak on mental health, personal growth, and the real-life experiences that shape how we show up in the world—supporting clarity, insight, and meaningful change.

My clinical background includes 3 years treating individuals in the Massachusetts prison system, followed by 5 years in outpatient private practice in Rhode Island to the community. These experiences shape my approach: direct, respectful, evidence-based, and attentive to each person’s lived reality. I now own and operate Top Choice Telepsychiatry LLC in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Most appointments are virtual for convenience and accessibility, and in-person appointments are available upon request when clinically appropriate.

Client progress requires honesty, consistency, and a willingness to look inward. I do not take a passive approach, and sessions are designed to be productive. My hope is that you enter this process ready to be an active participant in your growth, and that together, we create space for clarity, healing, and forward movement.
