Hi, I’m Julia Masters, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent the past five years providing individual therapy to teens, young adults, and adults. I specialize in helping clients to better manage anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain/illness, academic/professional stress, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is unique to each client, and I draw from multiple evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’ve been before, I want to ensure that you feel comfortable by providing an empathic, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where we can explore what you are wrestling with, identify your goals, and improve your wellbeing. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone for an effective and positive experience in therapy.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
While you can never prepare for everything that life will throw at you, I can help you learn strategies to change what is within your control and cope with what isn’t. If you’d like to learn more about what therapy with me looks like, I am happy to provide more information during a complimentary consultation call. I look forward to supporting you on this journey!
