Alba Colmenares Moore(She/Her/Hers)

Alba Colmenares Moore, a bilingual National Certified Mental Health Counselor, is licensed in both Virginia and Florida. With a Master of Science in Counseling, a Specialization in Project Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Alba brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. She is also a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.

Alba’s extensive training includes evidence-based curricula such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-Post Disaster Training, Circle of Security Facilitator, Nurturing Parents Program, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Additionally, she holds certifications in Trauma and Resilience, Emotional Regulatory Healing, Level III Infant Mental Health Specialist, and Maternal Mental Health Professional Certification.

Over her 25+ years of experience, Alba works with individuals in various capacities: as a clinician, clinical supervisor, coach, and trainer. Her approach is grounded in a strong psychodynamic foundation, and she tailors her clinical modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. Alba addresses a wide range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, perinatal and postnatal mood disorders, parenting, grief, anger management, gender identity, ADHD, PTSD, divorce, domestic violence, adjustment disorders, adoption, Foster Care, and post-immigration and cultural adaptation.
