Professional statement

Alisa DeLage, LICSW, is a psychotherapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, infertility, grief, and major life transitions. Many of her clients are highly capable, deeply thoughtful people who feel stuck in cycles of overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, or self-criticism, often after years of carrying invisible emotional weight. She specializes in supporting individuals impacted by infertility, pregnancy loss, and complicated paths to parenthood, helping clients process both the medical and emotional realities of these experiences.

Her therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in nervous-system awareness. Alisa integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (parts work), attachment-based therapy, and somatic and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients understand not only what they think and feel, but how their bodies hold stress, fear, and grief. Therapy focuses on increasing self-compassion, emotional regulation, and the ability to feel more present and resourced in daily life.

Alisa brings years of experience working in community mental health, leadership roles, and private practice. She has extensive experience supporting clients navigating trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, infertility-related stress, pregnancy loss, and chronic or ambiguous grief. Her work is informed by an understanding of how social systems, medical trauma, and personal history intersect to shape emotional well-being.

Alisa offers telehealth therapy to clients located in Massachusetts. Remote sessions provide flexible scheduling and allow clients to engage in therapy from environments where they feel safe and comfortable. She is committed to offering care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.

Message to clients

I believe that most people come to therapy because they have been carrying too much for too long. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, grieving, or exhausted by holding everything together, you’re not alone.

I have a particular passion for working with people navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, and complicated paths to parenthood, as well as grief and trauma more broadly. These experiences can shake your sense of safety, identity, and trust in your body or the world, and they often bring emotions that don’t have many places to land. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to minimize what you’ve been through.

My hope is that our work together helps you feel more connected to yourself, less ruled by fear or self-criticism, and more able to rest, feel, and live with greater ease. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and paced with care. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin just a willingness to show up as you are.
