Professional statement

Amber Robinson, a therapist licensed in California, Arizona, Utah and Connecticut, specializes in supporting adults as they heal from trauma, navigate relationships, and thrive in their careers. With a warm and collaborative style, Amber tailors her approach to each client, fostering honest, attuned relationships that honor each person's unique identity and lived experience.

With a background in both creative industries and entrepreneurship, Amber brings a deep understanding of the emotional landscape that creatives and business owners often face. Whether it's imposter syndrome, burnout, fear of failure, or the pressure to constantly produce, she helps clients unpack the deeper narratives behind these struggles. Her work empowers individuals to move through creative blocks, manage stress, and build lives that align with their passions and values—without sacrificing their mental well-being.

Clients often describe the work with Amber as deep, clarifying, and emotionally grounding. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, honoring both the discomfort of growth and the need for emotional safety. While therapy may explore childhood dynamics and attachment themes, the work always stays rooted in present-day goals—whether that means setting better boundaries, cultivating emotionally fulfilling relationships, or finding confidence and clarity in their creative or entrepreneurial journey.

Message to clients

Are you a high-functioning millennial who feels like you’re constantly holding it together on the outside, but unraveling on the inside? You may be successful, creative, and driven—and still find yourself overwhelmed by anxiety, relationship struggles, or emotional exhaustion. You’re not alone.

I work with millennials who are healing from trauma, navigating attachment wounds, and trying to find meaning in their careers and relationships without losing themselves in the process. If you’re tired of repeating old patterns, doubting your worth, or feeling emotionally stuck, therapy can be a powerful space to begin again.

My approach is relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is part of the healing. I show up authentically and compassionately, creating a space where you can be fully yourself—where the quiet, vulnerable parts of you are welcomed without judgment.

We’ll start by identifying what feels most urgent—whether it’s anxiety in your relationships, burnout at work, or a deep inner critic that won’t quiet down. From there, we’ll gently explore the deeper roots: your emotional history, learned patterns, and core beliefs. I draw from modalities like psychodynamic therapy, inner child work, and parts work to help you create insight and lasting change. I also offer EMDR.

Sessions are not just about understanding what happened, but about helping you feel more connected, whole, and safe in your everyday life.

If my fee is not manageable, please contact me for sliding scale or package discounts.
