Professional statement

Dr. Andrea Liner is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and major life transitions. A central focus of her practice is reproductive psychology, supporting individuals through infertility, fertility treatments (including IVF and IUI), pregnancy after infertility or loss, high-risk pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Many of Dr. Liner’s clients are high-achieving millennials who feel overwhelmed by comparison, self-doubt, or the sense that life has not unfolded as expected. She helps clients better understand themselves and move away from shame and guilt toward self-trust and emotional clarity.

Dr. Liner offers individual therapy only and does not provide couples, family, or child therapy. Her work centers on creating a one-on-one space where clients can explore internal experiences, emotional patterns, and identity shifts with depth and care.

Her therapeutic approach is warm, insight-oriented, and collaborative. Dr. Liner draws primarily from psychodynamic therapy while integrating tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This allows clients to understand how past experiences influence current patterns while also building practical skills to manage anxiety, mood symptoms, and emotional overwhelm. Her work emphasizes values clarification, emotional attunement, and living in alignment with one’s authentic self.

Dr. Liner earned her Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) from The George Washington University and completed her postdoctoral training at Georgetown University. She is licensed in Colorado and authorized to provide teletherapy in over 40 states through PSYPACT. Her practice is fully virtual, allowing clients to access specialized individual therapy from the comfort of their own homes.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—whether this is your first time or you’ve been here before. If you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship stress, or feeling unsettled during a major life transition, you don’t have to sort it out on your own. Many people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why life doesn’t feel the way they expected it to. My hope is to offer a space where you can slow things down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying.

I work with adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, identity shifts, relationship patterns, self-esteem, and life transitions. A significant focus of my practice is also reproductive psychology—supporting individuals navigating infertility, fertility treatments, pregnancy after infertility or loss, and the postpartum period. These experiences can bring up anxiety, grief, ambivalence, and emotional isolation, but you do not need to be in a reproductive season of life to benefit from working together. At its core, my work is about helping people better understand themselves and feel more grounded in who they are.

My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I aim to create a space that feels comfortable and human, while also offering thoughtful, direct feedback when it’s helpful. Sometimes that looks like validation and support; other times it means gently challenging patterns that no longer serve you. Either way, my goal is for you to feel supported, respected, and very much on your own team.
