Professional statement

Dr. Bethany Valenti is a clinical psychologist, based out of Ohio. Her practice is exclusively online and she has PsyPact, so she can see clients remotely in 43 states.

Dr. Valenti specializes in working with Anxiety, Grief, ADHD, Trauma, and Body Image and Disordered Eating. She is additionally trained in EMDR. Her practice focuses on supporting adults who are finding that expectations about themselves or life do not match reality. This can also involve working with people through overwhelming seasons of life to navigate demands in a meaningful and supportive way.

Her therapy approach is collaborative and relational in nature. She incorporates client centered, feminist, ACT, and DBT to enrich support of her clients needs. She provides therapy in traditional weekly sessions as well as intensive session options (e.g. longer or more frequent sessions, short-term longer retreat-format sessions).

Message to clients

I work with people who are facing a reality that does not match up with their expectations. Maybe that's you. Got burnout and overwhelm? Is life harder after a big loss or a big change? Were you managing, maybe even thriving, until suddenly you weren’t? Before you knew it, everything looked different. Something changed, whether it was a major life event or your usual comforts aren’t helping. So maybe you tried to power through, doubled down on what worked before, or fell entirely out of your routine.

Surviving all the time sucks. You can get through this. Let’s tackle it together.

My goal is to support you & show you the compassion that you can learn to show yourself. I want you to feel heard just as much as you feel helped. My approach is collaborative, because you are the expert on your own experience. Our combined expertise is what helps us work toward the growth you want. This comes from having a connection & relationship with me in which you feel understood & supported. The space we create together is one where you will feel safe doing the hard work of healing & growing. I love working with my clients because we both show up as our full authentic selves to work on what matters to them.

I strive to bring authenticity & genuineness with me when we meet. You can trust that I’ll never say something because I “have to” as your therapist. Schedule a consult to start.
