Professional statement

Bianca Gist is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges with empathy, authenticity, and care. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to, sexuality, dating and relationship therapy (both traditional and non-traditional), family therapy, anxiety, life transitions, identity development, religion and spirituality, and racial and cultural concerns. Bianca is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and culturally responsive space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and grow at their own pace.

Bianca brings a diverse professional background to her clinical work, with past experience providing services within foster care and school-based settings. Through her work in foster care, she supported children, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, attachment challenges, transitions, and system involvement. In school settings, Bianca worked closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address social-emotional concerns, behavioral challenges, academic stressors, and life transitions. These experiences have shaped her trauma-informed, strengths-based approach and deepened her understanding of how systemic factors impact mental health and overall well-being.

Bianca takes a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, recognizing the strong connection between physical wellness, emotional health, and mental functioning. She offers a unique perspective on how physical health, stress, and daily habits influence mood, self-esteem, and coping, helping clients develop practical and sustainable tools for healing.

At the core of Bianca’s practice is a client-centered, collaborative, genuine, and empathic therapeutic relationship. She believes meaningful change occurs when clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Bianca’s goal is to help clients reach a sense of peace, clarity, and liberation, empowering them to do the deep, all-encompassing work required not only to survive life’s challenges, but to truly thrive through both the good and the difficult days.

Message to clients

Starting therapy is a meaningful and courageous step, and choosing to begin a new therapeutic journey says a lot about your strength and overall self-awareness. Whether you are coming to therapy with clear goals or simply a sense that something needs to change, you are welcome here exactly as you are. There is no expectation to have it all figured out, as this will be a space to explore, reflect, heal, and grow at your own pace.

Although, there may be moments of discomfort, clarity, relief, and growth, which are all apart of the process. You deserve a peaceful space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to show up as your authentic self. Wherever you are on your journey, I will meet you.
