Professional statement

Brian Bennett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with Healing Rhodes Clinical Services, LLC, based in Rhode Island. He provides thoughtful, client-centered care to individuals seeking deeper understanding, meaningful change, and personal growth.

Brian’s approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy and integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and principles from logotherapy. He focuses on helping clients understand the underlying emotional patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape how they think, feel, and relate to others. His work is collaborative and reflective, helping clients better understand how past experiences, relationships, and internal conflicts shape their present lives, while also building skills to navigate challenges more effectively.

He works with adults experiencing a broad array of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to the impact of past trauma, as well as difficulties with self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions. Brian tailors his work to each individual, recognizing that meaningful change comes from a deeper understanding of each person’s unique story and inner world.

Brian approaches clients with curiosity, respect, and a genuine interest in who they are. He believes therapy is not only a space for symptom relief, but an opportunity to develop greater insight, flexibility, and a stronger sense of purpose.

Message to clients

Welcome. I work with adults dealing with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, the impact of past trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Many of the people I see feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, self-doubt, or difficulty moving forward. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, with practical tools from CBT and ACT. This means we’ll look at underlying patterns and past experiences, while also building skills to help you manage thoughts, emotions, and day-to-day challenges more effectively.

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your needs. If you’re interested, we can set up a consultation to see if it feels like a good fit.
