Professional statement

Brona is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nine years of clinical experience specializing in trauma therapy, anxiety, depression, and ADHD coaching. She works with adults who want to show up more fully in their relationships and live the lives they're capable of living. Her clients are often high-functioning professionals or individuals navigating meaningful life transitions—people who understand something is stuck and are ready for real, embodied change. She welcomes clients at any stage of their therapeutic journey, whether they're beginning to explore their patterns or deepening work they've already started.

Brona's therapeutic approach integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and somatic work to address what's held in both mind and body. She draws from her training as a certified Sivananda Hatha Yoga instructor and incorporates meditation and nervous system regulation techniques alongside evidence-based clinical interventions. Rather than working from a one-size-fits-all model, she assesses each client's unique challenges—whether that's time blindness, planning difficulties, emotional dysregulation, or unprocessed trauma—and tailors her approach accordingly. Her work is grounded in neuroscience and attachment theory, recognizing that lasting change happens when the nervous system feels safe enough to shift.

Brona's clinical background includes extensive training in trauma-informed care, attachment-focused EMDR, and ADHD assessment and coaching. Her work integrates contemporary neuroscience research with traditional psychotherapeutic wisdom, helping clients understand not just what's happening, but why—from a brain and body perspective. She brings warmth and directness to her clinical presence, meeting clients with both compassion and honesty.

Brona is currently offering remote sessions only, available Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM. She works with clients across New York State via telehealth.

Message to clients

If you have ADHD—or think you might—you've probably heard that you need to try harder, get better organized, manage your time better, stop being lazy. But here's what neuroscience actually shows: ADHD isn't a willpower problem. Your brain is wired to focus on what interests you—not what's important. Time feels fluid. Organization methods don't stick; you end up waiting until the pressure of a deadline crisis is the only thing motivating you. Anxiety builds because you never know if you'll follow through.

I work with your specific challenges, not a one-size-fits-all approach. ADHD shows up differently for everyone—some people struggle most with time blindness, others with planning or sustaining effort or emotional regulation. I assess what's actually hard for you, then teach you to build systems and skills tailored to those exact challenges. We create external structures that work with your brain's wiring rather than against it. Combined with somatic work, meditation, and yoga to regulate your nervous system, we build on your strengths while addressing what's getting in your way.

Managing ADHD successfully is about knowing yourself. It's about understanding how you're wired and building a life that works with that wiring—not against it.
