Professional statement

Dr. Carina Vecchi is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in supporting children, teens, young adults, and parents navigating emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. She works with families who may be experiencing stress related to ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, mood concerns, school difficulties, or family conflict. Her clients often come to her seeking clarity, support, and practical tools to strengthen communication and emotional connection at home.

Dr. Vecchi’s approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. She believes that healing and meaningful change occur within safe, trusting relationships. She creates a space where clients feel seen, understood, and valued, and works closely with each family to build strategies that are realistic, effective, and tailored to their unique needs. Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies, and she is trained and experienced in a wide range of interventions including Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Parent Training (PT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Coping Cat, and Motivational Interviewing.

With deep respect for the diverse backgrounds and neurotypes of the families she serves, Dr. Vecchi maintains a culturally responsive, inclusive practice where clients feel safe and supported. She values curiosity, compassion, and the belief that every child and family has strengths that can be nurtured and expanded through therapy.

Dr. Vecchi offers telehealth sessions, providing accessible care for clients across California. She welcomes new families who are looking for a thoughtful, collaborative partner in their child’s or family’s emotional growth.
