Professional statement

Are you looking for compassionate support in life, relationships, or helping your teen navigate emotional challenges? I’m Dannete Wilkerson, a Board-Certified Clinical Mental Health Coach and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #17463), supervised by Dr. Yoshado Lang, (PsyD # 21441) in California. As a National Certified Counselor and SYMBIS Facilitator, I help individuals, couples, young adults, and teens foster growth, healing, and connection.

I believe healing is both an art and a science, and I create a safe, nonjudgmental space using person-centered, mindfulness, attachment, and psychodynamic approaches. Many emotional struggles stem from generational cycles, and I work with teens and young adults to navigate anxiety, depression, and life transitions while breaking unhealthy patterns that may stem from adverse childhood or adult experiences.

For couples, I provide premarital counseling to strengthen communication and relationship foundations. For individuals, I offer support for anxiety, grief, stress, and major life changes, using the Community Resiliency Model to build coping skills.

With 20+ years as a certified coach, executive entrepreneurship, and leadership, as well as being a recent master of arts graduate in clinical mental health counseling, I integrate emotional healing, conflict resolution, and faith-based therapy—blending fitness, finances, and fun for a well-rounded approach to well-being.
