Professional statement

Danielle Dickson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and trauma-informed therapist who provides virtual therapy for adults across Colorado. She works with individuals who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, or depression and are seeking a deeper sense of calm, clarity, and connection. Many of her clients are introspective, sensitive, or spiritually curious and long to feel more at ease in their bodies and aligned with their authentic selves.

Danielle’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in both evidence-based and holistic practices. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness with somatic and mind-body modalities such as Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Through this integrative lens, Danielle helps clients regulate their nervous systems, release what’s been held beneath the surface, and cultivate emotional resilience and self-trust.

Her therapeutic style is gentle yet empowering. Danielle creates a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore long-standing patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with their innate wisdom and capacity for healing. She believes that true transformation happens when both the mind and body feel safe, seen, and supported.

Based in Northern Colorado, Danielle offers online telehealth sessions for adults throughout the state. She welcomes new clients and provides both private pay and insurance options. Danielle invites anyone seeking meaningful, lasting change to reach out and begin their journey toward greater balance and well-being.

Message to clients

Before we begin, I want you to know that you don’t have to show up perfectly or have everything figured out. Simply being here is an act of courage and a powerful first step toward change. Therapy often stirs a mix of emotions—hope, hesitation, curiosity, even fear—and all of that is welcome. My role is to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and to walk beside you as we explore what healing means for you.

I work from a place of compassion, respect, and grounded presence. I believe you already carry deep wisdom within you, and therapy is a space to reconnect with that inner guidance—the part of you that knows how to heal but may have been quieted by stress, trauma, or self-doubt. As Buddha said, “Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” Together, we’ll learn to listen to that inner voice and nurture your capacity for calm and clarity.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about helping you remember your wholeness. Whether we’re processing the past, learning tools for nervous system regulation, or simply creating space to breathe, I’ll be here with warmth and care every step of the way. You don’t have to do this alone, and it would be my honor to support you.
