Professional statement

Elizabeth Bendick licensed clinical psychologist with a deep commitment to helping adults (18+) move through life transitions, heal from trauma, and build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. Her work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a deep understanding of the complex ways our identities, experiences, and environments shape our mental health.

Over the past decade, She has supported individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including: Life changes and adjustment difficulties, trauma and PTSD, anxiety and depression, family of origin issues and attachment patterns, self-esteem and identity development, interpersonal struggles, communication difficulties, and assertiveness, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ identity exploration and support, relationship challenges, and chronic pain and health-related psychological concerns.

Dr. Bendick welcomes adults of all backgrounds into therapy. Her work has been especially enriched by years of experience in college counseling centers, where she specialized in supporting emerging adults and young professionals who are navigating the complexities of early adulthood and the pressure to “figure it all out.”

Dr. Bendick has a strong commitment to inclusive and multicultural care. She earned a concentration from the Cynthia Lucero Latino Mental Health Program which brings a nuanced understanding of cultural values, intergenerational experiences, and systemic stressors that influence our life experiences and mental health.

Dr. Bendick also has a commitment to LGBTQ+-affirming care, supporting individuals across the spectrum of gender and sexual identities in their journey toward authenticity and connection.

Over the course of her experience she has worked in various medical and health settlings. This has developed a specialty in working with clients managing chronic pain and co-occurring medical conditions, helping them address the mental health impacts of physical illness.

Message to clients

I bring a systems-oriented lens to our work together, considering how our early relationships and life experiences shape our current sense of self, the way we connect with others, and how we move through the world.

My integrative approach draws from several evidence-based modalities including:

Relational Therapy

Client Centered

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT);

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Above all, I'm client-centered. I've seen what happens when therapy gets too rigid or robotic, when the humanity of it gets lost. That’s not what you’ll get with me. I’ll use evidence-based methods and also meet you with honesty, care, and a good sense of when to push and when to pause.
