Professional statement

I work with adults navigating the effects of complex trauma, attachment wounds, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, substance use and other compulsive behaviors. Many of the people I see are looking for more than talk therapy and feel drawn to mind–body approaches. In our work, we explore not only thoughts and emotions, but also how experiences live in the body, creating new pathways for resilience and connection.

As a trauma therapist, I am certified in EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and also offer Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment—either on its own for complex PTSD or alongside EMDR. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work and Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion to support healing. My goal is to help clients establish or restore safety in their bodies and relationships so they can reconnect with their authentic selves.

I bring 23 years of experience as a clinician and 12 years as a yoga facilitator. I have a deep interest in neuroscience and am passionate about continuing to grow both personally and professionally. I believe in the body's innate wisdom to heal. My style is warm, transparent, and collaborative, and I work to co-create a space grounded in trust and compassion.

After nearly 30 years in New England (Boston and Providence), I recently returned to my hometown of Buffalo, NY. I see clients in person in Western New York and via telehealth in New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. I offer weekly or biweekly sessions for new clients and monthly sessions for those in longer-term work.

Message to clients

You may feel stuck right now—overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or carrying the impact of past trauma. These struggles can show up as constant self-criticism, feelings of unworthiness, or patterns at work or in relationships that leave you drained and disconnected. They don’t just stay in your mind—they often live in the body too, as tension, exhaustion, or a sense of being on edge.

Seeking therapy often means you’re ready for some kind of change. Maybe you want to quiet the inner critic, feel more at ease in your body, or break free from repeating cycles that keep you stuck. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you start—therapy can be the place where we sort through it together.

My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to carry everything alone. Together we can begin to untangle what’s weighing on you and open up new ways of relating to yourself and others—grounded in greater self-compassion, resilience, and connection.
