Dr. Erin Ripley is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in helping her patients understand what’s happening with their body and brain while she collaborates with them to discover how they can live productive, satisfying lives. She is dedicated to pursuing a patient-centered, patient-led approach—gently and thoughtfully building rapport, partnering to explore challenges, and working together to find solutions and achieve breakthroughs along the way.
Her therapeutic orientation and expertise have been shaped by her extensive experience working in rehabilitation settings. She is highly skilled at helping patients meet and overcome the psychological struggles that can exacerbate their physical symptoms, impede their ability to cope with life changes, and compromise their treatment and recovery. Recognizing that addressing the complex interplay of physical, psychological, social, and other dimensions is essential, she brings a holistic, eclectic orientation to helping each person.
Dr. Ripley has worked with individuals in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings—evaluating their needs and providing individual and group therapy services drawing on CBT and ACT. She is committed to applying knowledge and skills to help patients’ family members and other caregivers meet the unique challenges they face as well.
Dr. Ripley’s training included providing comprehensive neuropsychological testing, and individual and group therapy services. As a rehabilitation neuropsychologist, she worked with interdisciplinary teams in a clinic serving adolescents and adults who had suffered brain injuries and other neurological events, as well as in both inpatient and outpatient settings within a rehab hospital helping patients recover from amputations, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple traumas, chronic pain, POTS/dysautonomia, Long COVID, FND and other medical and neurological conditions. Additionally, Dr. Ripley has a clinical interest and is developing a specialty in treating perinatal mood disorders.
