Ezra Crowson earned a Master’s in Social Work with a Certificate in Mental Health, Addiction, and the Family from Tulane University in 2022 and has been providing therapy in a variety of settings since. As a gender non-conforming, neurodivergent therapist, Ezra is deeply committed to offering person centered, LGBTQ plus affirming, and trauma informed care that addresses the unique needs of each client.
A primary area of focus is helping clients cultivate a sense of safety within their bodies. Ezra integrates somatic techniques and teaches skills to support emotional regulation and stress management. They have worked with individuals, families, groups, and couples in schools, clinics, and in-home settings. This wide-ranging experience informs a flexible and eclectic approach to therapy.
Ezra draws from a variety of modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotional Freedom Technique, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory informed psychoeducation, Trust Based Relational Intervention, and the Gottman Method. These approaches are combined to provide personalized, client centered care. Ezra is also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for anxiety disorders, phobias, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
In addition, Ezra is a licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator in Training in Colorado. They completed a year long Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider Training and associated practicums at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Ezra currently serves as a board member of Leaf and deVine Ayahuasca Church and is completing the organization’s three year facilitation training program. They are passionate about contributing to and volunteering within this community, believing that psychedelic medicine can foster deep connection and transformative spiritual insight. This belief has been strengthened through multiple trainings in Peru, where they studied esoteric plant medicine practices.
