Professional statement

Farida specializes in helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship issues, and career-related burnout. Farida supports clients in discovering the roots of their distress by examining formative experiences, attachment styles, and internalized expectations that often perpetuate perfectionism, people-pleasing, and fear of failure. Through a collaborative, evidence-based approach, Farida guides clients in deconstructing limiting core beliefs, strengthening distress tolerance, and enhancing their ability to respond with intention rather than react out of habit.

Message to clients

**When emailing, please include: insurance (if any); the fee you can afford (sliding scale info is below); and (most importantly) a small paragraph about yourself/identity and what you're seeking treatment for. Thank you!**

My work centers on helping individuals reconnect with their values, build emotional resilience, and reclaim a sense of autonomy in their relationships. I strive to create a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their emotional experiences and gently challenge long-standing relational dynamics.

Clients often share that they feel more grounded, self-aware, and better equipped to manage stress while cultivating secure, interdependent relationships. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive and dialectical behavioral frameworks. I also incorporate attachment-based work and mindfulness-based practices to support deeper emotional understanding and growth. Together, we identify and regulate emotions, and reframe unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. I tailor treatment to align with each individual’s values, cultural background, and lived experiences, supporting meaningful and sustainable change.

I believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live with authenticity, purpose, and emotional clarity. Whether someone is beginning therapy for the first time or returning to it, I offer an affirming space where they can pursue greater self-understanding and fulfillment.
