Aida Therapy, founded by psychologist and author Dr. Hala Alyan, is a New York-based group practice rooted in social justice and community care. We offer affirming, culturally responsive therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Our team includes clinicians of color, LGBTQ+ therapists, immigrants, and multilingual providers, trained in DBT, EMDR, sex therapy, grief work, and more. We work relationally and collaboratively, honoring the complexity of your identity and lived experience. Therapy here is a space to think, feel, and grow with care and intention.
We specialize in trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Our approach is integrative and adaptive. We center clients who have been marginalized by systems, and we offer therapy that is responsive, grounded, and deeply attuned.
Aida Therapy supports clients at all stages of their therapeutic journey. Whether you’re navigating something acute or seeking long-term support, our team is committed to providing care that aligns with your values and goals, without compromising on depth or integrity.
At Aida Therapy Group, we are in-network with Aetna. If you do not have an Aetna plan, our fees start at $150/session, with a deeper sliding scale depending on the provider. For those with a PPO plan, we can provide superbills for you to submit in order to receive reimbursements through your out of network benefits.
