Professional statement

Hannah Stegall, Licensed Medical Health Counselor, specializes in working with adolescents, young adults and adults who are navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, depression and life transitions. Hannah recognizes that trauma can take many forms and that no two individuals experience it in the same way. Whether clients are working through a specific event or exploring patterns of thought and behavior that feel overwhelming, she helps them uncover the underlying needs driving those experiences.

Hannah's therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every behavior, whether positive or negative, serves a purpose. By fostering understanding and awareness. Hannah empowers clients to make meaningful change and develop healthier ways of coping. She integrates trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, while centering each session on the client’s unique goals and pace. She prioritizes creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and respected, while also being gently encouraged to reflect and grow.

Hannah brings extensive experience supporting individuals across diverse clinical settings, helping clients identify and navigate the connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. She is passionate about guiding clients toward self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change, always honoring their lived experiences and individual strengths.

Message to clients

Our minds and our bodies are always trying to protect us, sometimes they just do not do it in the best way. I know how daunting it can be to find support. The key to change is understanding. I believe that every negative or positive behavior is in place to meet a basic human need and we need to understand the driving need behind those behaviors in order to change.

I have extensive experience with trauma in individuals from adolescence to late adulthood. I believe that trauma looks and feels different to every person. Two people experiencing the same exact thing will have unique responses. A traumatic event takes many forms, and I want to help you pick up where your thoughts, feelings and behaviors come from, even if you haven't experienced “trauma”.

One of my top priorities is to create a space where you feel safe to speak any thought or struggle. It is not an easy thing to come to therapy and speak to someone who is essentially a stranger and share the heavy feelings we all keep inside. I want you to feel heard and understood while still feeling pushed to reflect and change. My sessions are always led by you, the client. I am here to support and guide, but ultimately, you know your experiences, and yourself best. I look forward to taking this first step with you, call or text now to schedule!
