Professional statement

Heather Navarro is a licensed clinical social worker in southern California. She works with individuals and adults 24+ in California, Utah, and Colorado. Many of Heather’s clients come in to address anxiety, self-doubt, and history of trauma. She also has advanced training in the area of OCD and dissociation. Heather is particularly passionate about serving women who are spiritually aligned and ready to heal.

Heather is trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy, CBT, yoga, and spiritually focused therapy. These interventions allow for calming the mind and body and giving one the presence and introspection needed for deep healing work. She also uses a combination of breathing techniques, dreamwork, journaling, movement, working with the inner child, bringing in oracle and tarot cards for further interpretation. These approaches are supportive to clients who are looking to be held and nurtured in their healing and introspective work.

Heather's style is calming, intuitively aligned, and using thought-provoking questions. When clients first start therapy, we will work to understand your past history and set goals together.

Heather received their MSW from University of Denver. She has worked at community clinics working with individuals and families. Outside of private practice, she enjoys being in her backyard with her partner and their pet family. They enjoy exploring nature, traveling and connecting together and with the environment.

Message to clients

It can be hard to trust the journey, especially a healing and spiritual journey. Those who experience trauma just want to get better. They want to have a life where they don't get as upset with themselves or others, where they can let themselves rest, and believe in themselves more easily.

When one starts the spiritual and healing journey and combines it with therapy, they are not just asking to heal. They are asking for post-traumatic growth, where they can align with their spirit, freeing their mind state, and leading lives where thriving is an every day occurrence. Therapy doesn't just take away and ease off the pain; it allows you to enjoy every day life once again. Through therapy and spiritual healing, one begins to grow in ways beyond what they ever imagined.

The reason I provide a spiritually aligned therapy practice is because I know the two go together. When one grows spiritually, their body and mind's limitations start to become challenged. When one heals, their spirit starts to lift up and align with bigger dreams and possibilities. Clearing mental and emotional blocks equals clearing of spiritual blocks. Therapy and spiritual healing compliment each other and each are eased by having the other. By having a spiritually-aligned therapist, one can share themselves on a spiritual level without questioning what they say, knowing it will be received and heard and offered into the therapeutic lens in which we work.
