"Isabella" Stephanie Maxwell is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania with over a decade of experience across diverse mental health care settings. She works with individuals from all walks of life, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families ages five and up. While she welcomes anyone seeking support, she brings particular passion and expertise to her work with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities, creating a warm, affirming space where clients can show up as their full selves.
Isabella's therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning she draws from a range of evidence-based modalities rather than relying on a single framework. Her toolbox includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based practices, somatic and movement therapies, guided imagery and meditation, narrative therapy, and family systems work, among others. She tailors each session to fit the unique needs of the person, blending techniques in a way that feels natural and relevant to the client's goals. She strongly believes that therapy is a collaborative process, and she works alongside her clients to ensure they feel invested and empowered every step of the way.
Before transitioning to telehealth-based practice, Isabella built her clinical foundation in community mental health, working across outpatient, school-based, and intensive service settings. These experiences gave her a broad and adaptable skill set, equipping her to meet clients where they are regardless of the complexity of their concerns. She currently provides telehealth services throughout Pennsylvania via the Headway, BetterHelp, and Alma platforms, offering flexible scheduling to accommodate a range of needs. Her availability is Monday-Friday with every other Saturday 10:00 AM-9:00 PM, with limited Saturday hours. There is an initial, free 15 minute phone consultation.
