Professional statement

I’sha Gaines, M.Ed., LPC, specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate the emotional terrain of relationships, especially during seasons of rupture, repair, and rediscovery. Her clients often come seeking clarity in communication, balance in emotional intensity, and relief from cycles of disconnection or avoidance. She works with partners who desire to rebuild trust after conflict, and with individuals who are learning to grieve, release, or redefine love after breakups. Many of her clients identify as high-achieving professionals, creatives, or empaths who long for secure, aligned connection but feel caught between independence and intimacy.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Rooted Function Theory™, a holistic framework she developed that bridges trauma-informed psychology, attachment repair, and mind-body integration. Through this method, clients learn to identify their “core relational frequencies” the emotional patterns and survival responses that influence how they give, receive, and regulate love. Sessions often combine, CBT and IFS mindfulness, communication skill-building, somatic grounding, and reflective dialogue. Emotional regulation strategies and psychological insight to help clients move from reaction to awareness.

With over a decade of experience in holistic mental health, wellness education, and creative healing, Gaines brings a distinctive combination of clinical expertise and intuitive understanding. She has supported hundreds of clients through relational transitions, self-worth work, and emotional recalibration. Her background as a licensed professional counselor, yoga and movement instructor, and holistic wellness practitioner allows her to meet clients on multiple levels mental, emotional, and energetic creating a grounded, transformative experience.

HoneyBeNatural Therapy & Wellness is based in Grand Prairie, Texas, with virtual sessions available across the state. Gaines offers individual therapy, couples repair sessions, and structured breakup coaching programs for clients ready to release old patterns and return to wholeness. Appointments are available on weekdays and select weekends, with limited in-person sessions offered at her private wellness studio.

Message to clients

Before we begin our work together, I want you to know that you’re entering a space where honesty, tenderness, and transformation can coexist. Many of my clients come to therapy at a crossroads—wanting connection but unsure how to rebuild it, or ready to release what no longer serves them but afraid of what that release might bring. Whether you’re here to repair a relationship, heal after a breakup, or rediscover your emotional rhythm, my hope is that you feel supported in slowing down, reflecting deeply, and reclaiming your voice in love.

My approach is relational and restorative. We’ll explore the patterns that shape how you attach, communicate, and protect yourself—while also learning new ways to stay connected even in conflict. I draw from trauma-informed therapy, attachment repair, and my own framework, Rooted Function Theory™, which helps clients identify and shift the emotional frequencies that drive their behavior in relationships. Sessions are collaborative, experiential, and often integrate body awareness, breathwork, and emotional mapping to support both insight and nervous system regulation.

My hope for you is that therapy becomes a place where you don’t have to perform or prove, but can simply be. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, safety, and the kind of connection that feels both grounded and free. Healing is not about being perfect—it’s about learning to stay present, even when love feels uncertain.
