Professional statement

Feeling stuck in your relationships, career, or sense of self can be overwhelming. You might notice recurring patterns of anxiety, self-doubt, or ways of relating that no longer feel like who you are. Drawing from my psychoanalytic training and global experience, I help adults and teens make sense of these patterns and the emotional confusion that often accompanies periods of change.

I work from a psychodynamic perspective, approaching therapy with curiosity and compassion. Our work focuses on understanding how patterns of thought, feeling, and relationship have taken shape over time—and how they continue to show up in the present. Early sessions often center on the life events, relationships, and personal dynamics brought you to therapy. These early discussions open the way to deeper insight and change as the therapeutic relationship develops.

My style is collaborative and grounded in deep listening. I pay close attention to how our sessions unfold, using what emerges in the therapeutic relationship as meaningful material for insight and change. I offer a nonjudgmental perspective so that you can speak freely and begin to understand yourself in new ways. Over time, this process can support greater clarity, emotional flexibility, and a more integrated sense of self. Many patients begin with a brief phone consultation to see whether working together feels like a good fit.

Message to clients

I believe psychotherapy can be a deeply meaningful and genuinely transformative experience. Psychodynamic therapy offers a way to understand the emotional patterns, relationships, and often unseen forces that shape how you live, relate, and experience yourself. While my practice is informed by my psychoanalytic training, I also draw on my graduate training, which integrates the impact of social and cultural experience on the mind and mental health.

I develop relationships with patients where they can speak freely, think deeply, and develop new insight and emotional balance. Over time, this process can loosen long-standing patterns, deepen your sense of agency, and open up a new sense of what is possible. I work collaboratively with intellectually curious patients, and I take seriously the idea that understanding yourself more fully can alter your sense of self and connection to others.
