Professional statement

Creative people: Sometimes it may feel like our society doesn’t make space for us. We can feel out of place, alienated, let down, pressured, unsure, unsupported, scattered, stuck, stymied, unconfident, undeserving, unfulfilled, unseen, sabotaged by others, or sabotaged by ourselves. No matter how this manifests for you – as anxiety about the future or depression about the past – you have what it takes to move through the hard stuff towards your truest, proudest self.

Jake offers a goal-centered approach of helping you heal, strengthen, course-correct, and rise above. His objective is to help you make tangible and measurable changes in your life.

He is available in New York from hours 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday-Friday

Message to clients

I work in a goal-oriented and solution-focused approach.

I'm a fan of working together to assign constructive homework, and looking at measurable changes in your life. I have worked with professional visual artists, actors, dancers, writers, musicians, entrepreneurs, and everyone in between.

I work with self-described creative people who struggle with depression and anxiety. I have helped with self-esteem, boundaries, attachment, motivation, goal-setting, relationships, and self-identity, to name a few.

I "get" what it's like to move through life as a creative person, tackling problems with a creative mind, and trying to face the struggles that we creatives encounter so frequently. I have worked as a professional animator for film and TV, and as an author, and dabble in theater, music, and visual arts. I find the most gratification helping other creative people navigate their lives. We don't have to struggle alone.
