Jeff is a licensed Resident Counselor in Virginia with a special interest in working veterans and first responders. He works with Trauma and PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem, Work/Life Balance, Personal Growth, Life and Career Changes, Relationship Conflict, Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation, Family Dynamics, Parenting, Mental Skill Development, and Bipolar/Mood Disorders.
Jeff incorporates Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness when working with clients, and has completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). His style is interactive, non-judgmental, and believes clients are the experts on where they are and where they want to go.
Jeff earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and holds another Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University.
Before entering the counseling profession, Jeff was a leadership coach, government contractor, author of Navigating Chaos: How To Find Certainty In Uncertain Situations, and 13 year Navy SEAL, with the majority of his time spent at SEAL Team 6.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys exercising, teaching self-defense, and chasing his kids around the house while his wife gets tired watching.
