Professional statement

Jenni is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the states of Illinois and Texas. She is passionate about working with young adults, college-aged individuals, and adults (25+), supporting them through a wide range of life challenges.

Her clinical expertise includes working with trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, body image concerns, identity development, and issues within the LGBTQIA+ community. Jenni is both trauma-informed and IFS-informed, and she approaches therapy through a humanistic, feminist, and compassion-focused lens.

Jenni earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy: Counseling from Adler University in Chicago. Her experience spans diverse therapeutic settings—from community mental health work with young adults in Chicago to facilitating therapeutic groups and navigating private practice environments. She has completed extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

Jenni is the founder and primary therapist at River & Roads Therapy, a fully virtual private practice. At this time, in-person sessions are not available. New and existing clients can schedule appointments or consultations via email, phone, or through the client portal.

Message to clients

In the therapy space I share with clients, my goal is to create an environment that feels authentic, empathetic, and free of judgment—grounded in compassionate curiosity. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, one that fosters personal growth, self-compassion, and empowerment in the areas that matter most to you.

As an art therapist, I also offer the option to incorporate art-making as a restorative tool. Creative expression can open the door to deeper insight, especially when words don’t feel like enough. It can also help expand your imagination and provide new ways of understanding your experiences.

Above all, I strive to offer a space where you feel truly seen and heard—a space to explore your identity, process past experiences, and move toward healing and balance. I invite you to join me in a therapeutic process that is both collaborative and creative, as we explore what healing can look like for you.
