Professional statement

Jessica works primarily with teenagers and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, family stress, and self-esteem challenges. Many of her clients are thoughtful individuals who are trying to better understand themselves while building confidence, emotional regulation skills, and a clearer sense of direction. Jessica creates a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, feel heard, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Together, sessions focus on helping clients feel more grounded, capable, and empowered to move toward meaningful goals.

Jessica’s therapy style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. She believes therapy works best when clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves—even when things feel messy or uncertain. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sessions often focus on building practical coping skills, strengthening self-awareness, and learning how to respond to challenges with greater clarity and confidence. Her approach balances compassion with gentle accountability, supporting growth while honoring each client’s unique pace.

Jessica earned her BA in Psychology from Salve Regina University and her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Her clinical experience includes neurodivergent-affirming practice, in-home crisis work with children and families, and trauma-informed counseling in partial hospitalization programs. These roles have given her a strong understanding of family systems, trauma-informed care, and the unique needs of youth and young adults.

Jessica provides secure telehealth therapy across Connecticut through the Headway platform and offers evening and weekend appointments, along with a free 15-minute consultation to help determine if it feels like a good fit.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable and a little awkward at first, meeting with a stranger and talking about your life can be weird, I want you to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out before we begin. You don’t need the “right words,” a perfect explanation, or a clear goal — we will work together to make sense of what feels heavy, confusing, or stuck. My hope is that you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood in our space. Therapy with me is collaborative, and I value your voice, your pace, and your lived experience, you are the expert on your life and I am here to help navigate you through difficult issues.

I approach our work with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools you can use outside of session. I may gently challenge unhelpful patterns while also honoring how those patterns developed and protected you. My goal is not to “fix” you, but to help you strengthen insight, build skills, and reconnect with the version of yourself you want to become. Above all, I hope you leave sessions feeling a little more empowered, a little more grounded, and more confident in your ability to move forward.
