Professional statement

Jessica Ellison, LMSW works with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just worn down by life’s challenges. She has a heart for supporting neurodivergent clients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma survivors, and anyone navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or big life transitions. Jessica especially enjoys helping teens, young adults, and adults who are figuring out who they are, learning to set boundaries, and wanting to feel more at home in their own skin.

In sessions, Jessica takes a down-to-earth, collaborative approach. She uses tools from CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy, but always adapts them to fit the person sitting across from her—because no two clients are exactly alike. Her goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself, talk through the hard stuff, and explore new ways to cope and grow. There’s no judgment here—just curiosity, compassion, and a belief that small changes can make a big difference.

Jessica’s background includes working with people from all walks of life, from those facing intense loss and relationship struggles to those adjusting to major life changes. She understands how our histories, environments, and identities shape the way we think and feel, and she brings that understanding into every session. Clients often say they feel heard, understood, and supported—sometimes for the first time in a long time.

She offers both in-person sessions in her Burleson, Texas office and secure telehealth appointments for anyone in Texas. With flexible scheduling, including some evenings, Jessica makes it easier to fit therapy into real life. Whether you meet online or face-to-face, you can expect a welcoming environment where you can slow down, take a breath, and work toward the changes you want.

Message to clients

I know starting therapy can feel a little scary—you might be hopeful, nervous, or not even sure what to expect. That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. Just show up as you are, and we’ll take it one step at a time.

When we meet, I want you to feel like you can just be yourself. This is a judgment-free space where it’s okay to be honest, to feel your feelings, and to not have all the answers. We might laugh sometimes, we might sit with the hard stuff, and we’ll work together to find new ways to handle whatever life throws at you.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can let some of the weight you’ve been carrying slide off your shoulders and start to feel more like you again.
