At the Center for Compassionate Behavior Change, we provide evidence-based, scientifically supported individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, emerging adults and adults facing mental health challenges or otherwise seeking to enhance their overall well-being. We specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness/meditation, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). While practical coping skills are essential for managing difficult emotions and navigating challenges, we recognize deeper self-awareness is crucial for implementing and sustaining these new skills. As such, our approach strikes a delicate balance between skills-based interventions and insight development. Therapy at CCBC almost always includes weekly home practice to reinforce skills and promote progress between appointments. Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and occur once or twice per week, depending on client need. Sessions are either virtual or in-person (downtown Boston or Wellesley).
