Professional statement

I am passionate about humans!

This includes ALL folx, adults, children, couples, and families. I am dedicated to advocating for mental health and wellness for individuals of all backgrounds, focusing on women’s health through all the stages of life, people of color, and LGBTQ+ communities. As a therapist, I offer specialized support that empowers clients with the thinking patterns, mindsets, and the skills they need to succeed in a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and process life’s challenges. My clients describe me as warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. My work with clients focuses on navigating life’s transitions that can bring about physical, emotional, and psychological changes. My approach is grounded in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies to help you become the best version of yourself. This includes the ability to tell your own story and embrace your distinct identity. Our journey typically takes 6 to 8 sessions of a combination of evidence-based therapies, like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Most clients experience decreased symptoms within a month and continue to show improvement thereafter.

Message to clients

What I know for sure is that change is inevitable! It is my mission to walk alongside you as life hands you many detours and shifts. Whether good or bad, these shifts can make us feel unbalanced. When LIFE HAPPENS (a new job, marriage, aging parents, the emotional and psychological impacts of menopause, the loss of a loved one, sleep disturbances), I integrate therapeutic practices that promote self-compassion, stress management, and overall well-being.

Whether you’re experiencing mood swings, anxiety, an inability to sleep, the complexities of menopause, changes in identity, academic struggles, low self-esteem, or ADHD, I can help you manage these transitions with coping strategies to empower you to become the best version of yourself by embracing this stage of life with confidence and resilience!

Some of my specialties include self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, menopause, relational conflict, communication struggles, and ADHD. My clients are struggling with life’s transitions. They may have relationship struggles like dating, mastering interpersonal skills, hormonal shifts, moments of sadness, marital concerns, parenting, menopause, career goals, communication, decision-making skills, grief/loss, academic interventions, and/or finances.
