Healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, or any mental health challenge isn’t just about talking. It’s about reclaiming your connection and sense of safety in your system. Especially if you’ve grown up in an environment marked by chaos, abuse or neglect - the foundational feeling of safety is the first thing to go. This can lead to pattens of self-doubt, low self-confidence, low self-worth, and difficulty asking for your needs to be met. You can feel disconnected, like you’re watching your life from the sidelines. Or maybe you are constantly on edge, and it is hard to relax and feel joy. It is isolating.
Kara, owner of Counseling With Ayurveda, specializes in working with adults struggling with these challenges. She helps you slow down and develop a compassionate relationship with yourself and gently reconnect to your body. She helps you learn routines to support your nervous system and quiet the negative thoughts. She helps you create healthy boundaries and improve communication skills. Over time, clients feel more present, empowered, and able to live more authentically. Self-esteem grows, relationships improve, and life becomes more fulfilling.
Kara is a licensed therapist, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, a somatic and EMDR practitioner, and has a background in yoga and ayurveda. Her approach is holistic and trauma-informed, and she values a genuine connection with her clients. She is also a Vedic astrologer who can help you understand some of the deeper patterns showing up in your life. And, if spirituality is your thing, she loves to help you integrate your beliefs into your daily life.
If you are curious about working with Kara, please reach out and schedule a free 20-minute consultation. She would love to meet you and see if she is a good fit to support your healing journey.
