Katie Chiasson works with adults throughout Florida and Minnesota who are navigating the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. Many of her clients carry the weight of childhood adversity — including neglect, violence, or major upheaval — as well as more recent challenges like significant life transitions or experiences that have shaken their sense of safety and stability. These experiences often leave people feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, shame, self-doubt, or guilt, and many come to Katie feeling stuck and unsure of how to move forward.
At the heart of Katie's work is a deep commitment to helping clients develop greater self-awareness so they can begin to understand their thoughts, emotional reactions, and patterns of behavior on a deeper level. She takes a warm, empathetic approach, meeting each person where they are while offering practical coping strategies to use during moments of overwhelm. Katie also incorporates creative, evidence-based methods to help clients release themselves from the grip of the past — including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a highly effective approach for processing and healing from trauma.
Katie brings over a decade of experience supporting clients through trauma and its wide-ranging effects on overall well-being. She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University and has earned specialized certifications from the EMDR International Association and the Trauma Institute International.
Katie sees clients across Florida and Minnesota, with remote sessions available to ensure accessibility and flexibility for those she works with. In office sessions sessions with Katie are available at her Delray Beach, Florida office location.
If you're ready to begin finding relief from the past and building a life that feels more like your own, Katie would be glad to connect.
