In my opinion, we all need a little therapy now and again! Just like our bodies need regular care and upkeep, and some extra support from a medical professional sometimes, our minds and internal selves need regular attention and support, as well. Therapy has a place for the proactive mental health seekers and those who have pain and vulnerabilities. I enjoy working with people who need support with trauma, depression, stressful life circumstances and relationship issues, severe mental illness, and chronic pain and illness. These are all areas where I've been able to help clients move forward in their lives.
I have over 10 years of experience in the field now, having worked in a variety of settings with all sorts of people and all sort of issues. I also work to share my experience with new clinicians in the field through their supervised practice. My foundation in therapy is strengths-based, person-centered and trauma-informed. I also pull from attachment and systems theories to understand each person in the context of their core relationships and communities. I tailor strategies from many evidenced-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, and crisis intervention.
My office is located near the Vancouver Mall, but I also offer telehealth appointments for both Oregon and Washington clients.
