Professional statement

Kylie Hepper is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing therapy to adults, couples, families, and teens in Hermosa Beach and across California via telehealth.

Many of Kylie’s clients are people who carry a lot, often without showing it. They are competent, responsible, and used to pushing through, yet privately feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure why life feels heavier than it should. Some arrive during a period of transition or relational strain. Others come with a quieter sense that they are no longer living in a way that feels true to them.

Kylie’s approach to therapy centers on slowing things down enough to understand what is really happening, internally and relationally. She works with individuals to deepen self-understanding, increase emotional tolerance, and reconnect with a clearer sense of self. With couples, she helps partners move out of blame, withdrawal, or reactivity and into more honest, grounded ways of relating. Family work often focuses on shifting long-standing patterns and creating space for clearer communication and emotional safety.

Drawing from existential, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and strength-focused frameworks, Kylie blends insight with real-world application. Her style is collaborative, thoughtful, and engaged. She shows up fully, asks meaningful questions, and offers gentle challenge when it supports growth.

Kylie offers in-person sessions in Hermosa Beach and telehealth throughout California. She provides evening and weekend availability, as well as a complimentary 15-minute consultation to help ensure a good fit.

Message to clients

There is often a moment before starting therapy that is hard to name. It might come in a quiet pause, a wave of emotion you cannot quite explain, or a realization that something inside you is asking for more care than you have been giving it.

That is where I hope we begin. I am less interested in the version of you that has learned how to cope and more interested in the part of you that notices what hurts, what feels unfinished, or what has gone quiet over time.

In our work, we take that seriously. We slow down, listen carefully, and make room for what is true. Therapy with me is about coming back into relationship with yourself and learning how to live with more clarity, connection, and meaning.
