Prioritizing self-care is a critical part of improving one's quality of life. Life can have an interesting way of creating obstacles and barriers along the way. My goal is to provide you with tips and tools to better manage your life.
As a licensed Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in Social Services I am able to provide profound compassion, empathy, and relatability. I have experience working with folks from diverse populations including teenagers, college students, prenatal and postpartum, LGBQT+, adults, older adults, survivors of domestic violence, and folks experiencing new life- transitions. My specialties include but are not limited to Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, and relationship issues in families.
My approach is customized based on the individual receiving treatment. I’ve consistently integrated evidence-based approaches to ensure clients receive the most effective and individualized care possible. My work is grounded in a client-centered framework, where I prioritize creating a safe, collaborative, and empathetic therapeutic environment.I draw from several evidence-based modalities. For example, I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and distress tolerance. I also utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to encourage values-based living and mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients build on existing strengths and resources. With clients experiencing trauma, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address traumatic memories in a structured and effective way. Additionally, Motivational Interviewing (MI) has been particularly valuable in promoting readiness for change, especially among clients who may feel ambivalent about treatment.
Sessions with me are 100% remote at this time. I have availability Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm to accommodate clients and their demanding schedules.
