Professional statement

Laura Love, LSW, is a Denver-based therapist who works with adults and young adults navigating both the expected and the messy parts of life. Many of her clients come to her during transitions—starting or ending relationships, parenting shifts, graduating, moving, or changing careers. Others reach out when anxiety, grief, trauma, or burnout begin to feel overwhelming or leave them feeling stuck.

Laura’s style is practical, collaborative, and engaged. She is trained in EMDR, CBT, and narrative therapy, and believes therapy should create real movement—not just insight. She helps clients understand the patterns that keep resurfacing and build tools that actually translate into daily life.

Before becoming a therapist, Laura spent more than twenty years as a coach and consultant, experience that shapes her clear, grounded, and interactive approach. Therapy with her is thoughtful and direct, supportive without being passive. Some clients come for focused, short-term work; others choose longer-term support. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions to meet clients where they are.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through the door. My hope is that this space feels safe, free of judgment and a place where you can show up exactly as you are. We can meet weekly, every other week, in person, or virtually—whatever feels sustainable for you. Most importantly, I want you to feel like a true partner in this process. You know yourself best, and my role is to walk alongside you as you make shifts at your own pace.
