Dr. Lex Uehline (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise providing culturally competent and evidenced-based psychotherapy to adults. She specializes in the treatment of identity concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, and family of origin issues, including estrangement and no-contact. Notably, Lex holds particular investment in supporting women of color navigating corporate environments.
Recognizing mental health and well-being as inseparable from our social and cultural environment, Lex strives to foster a safe and supportive therapeutic space that harnesses the power of authenticity and collaboration to promote growth and change. Grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care, Lex integrates a relational, emotion-focused, and holistic approach to counseling. Bringing compassion and warmth, Lex adapts to the uniqueness of each client, while continuing to support resilience-building, leveraging strengths, and gaining coping skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Lex earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. She integrates a culturally aware and justice-oriented perspective in her clinical practice, as well as in her research that has focused on the intersection of race, culture, and mental health.
Operating a virtual practice, Lex sees clients residing in the state of New York. She has availability to see clients in the mornings, early afternoons, and some evenings.
