Professional statement

I enjoy working with all ages, from elementary, middle school, and high school age children to adults, helping them navigate through life’s various challenges, including trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem issues, grief, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and more.

With many distractions coming at us from all directions, it's easy to feel disconnected from our body and mind. This barrage of information and life’s demands can lead to increasing stress, making it challenging to stay grounded and effectively manage our emotions. Using mindfulness practices, I help clients to reconnect body, mind, and spirit as we walk through the triumphs and sorrows to process the past and bring awareness to the present. Together, we work to move closer to a future aligned with your values.

My goal is always to create a safe, non-judgmental, authentic space for clients to work on what’s most important to them. My person-centered approach to counseling emphasizes the importance of the client's capacity for self-direction and understanding, as I strive to grasp the feelings and experiences from the client's perspective, conveying deep empathy.

In providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and families, I have gained invaluable experience as a successful licensed mental health counselor at Community Counseling of Bristol County in Taunton, Massachusetts and as a caseworker for United Cerebral Palsy.

I have a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Rhode Island College and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts.
