Professional statement

Linda Karcher, owner of Survivng2Thriving Counseling PLLC, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 35 years of experience and a passion for helping adults with life challenges not only survive but thrive! If you are stressed or anxious, dealing with trauma, life transitions or grief and loss, you do not have to manage this on your own. Linda will form a collaborative team with you and will help you set and reach your goals.

Compassion and humor are part of Linda's manner in working with her clients. She can: *provide support, *help you identify and challenge the beliefs, thoughts and patterns that may be holding you back or cause frustration, resentment or unhealthy decisions, *help you regulate your emotions and gain control over your life, *reinforce your strengths and validate your healthy decisions, teach you how to move from fight or flight and calm your nervous system, *provide the option to include Lotus, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, in virtual or in-person animal assisted interventions. Remotely, she enjoys welcoming clients to her zen-like virtual office setting.

Linda has worked in various settings over her career with children, adolescents and adults. She has a unique perspective and trifecta with her Clinical, Clinical educator and Certified Yoga Teacher hats.

In-person opportunities are available for those local to the Triangle area in North Carolina, specifically Fearrington Village which is a destination in and of itself! Walk and talk therapy is an option or sessions on the treehouse-like screened in porch or sunroom area of her home.

Message to clients

Please put your oxygen mask on first. Selfish does not have to be a bad word. If you don't take care of yourself, how can you thrive or be there for others? It is very important to me that you find the right fit, meaning that you feel comfortable and know that you have a safe space. I am non judgmental and have worked with a diverse group of people including person's of color, native Americans and LGBTQ clients. My informal approach sets others at ease. You deserve to be heard. You deserve the support and I congratulate you for taking this step. Since I offer a free 15 minute virtual or phone consultation, you can decide for yourself. What do you have to lose?
