Professional statement

Lindsay is a therapist licensed in Idaho, Oregon, and Utah with an in person office location in Hailey, ID.

Lindsay specializes in working with trauma, including vicarious and secondary trauma, depression, anxiety, and neurodiversity. They tend to work with highly capable people who may look like they have it all together in certain areas of their life, but seem to be stuck or struggling in other areas or with their own emotions. Lindsay has experience working with first responders, athletes, clinicians, CEOs, neurodiverse individuals, and folks who identify as LGBTQIA+.

Lindsay draws from Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, EMDR, the Trauma Resiliency Model, and nature based therapies to support clients in exploring their strengths and removing barriers in their lives. Lindsay tends to offer clients assignments between sessions to practice skills or new ways of being so that therapy is integrated into their lives, not just something that happens once a week or once a month.

Lindsay offers remote sessions in all three states they hold a license in. In person sessions are also available in Hailey, ID.

Message to clients

I believe people are inherently resilient. No one can exist very long in the world without having to get through some difficult things. This means my job as a therapist isn't to fix you or tell you what is wrong with you, it is to support you in building off of the strengths you have and exploring what might be keeping you stuck in areas in your life. Many of my clients are highly capable people that find themselves stuck or consistently struggling in areas of relationships, dealing with certain emotions, transitions in their lives, identity, or finding meaning.

I work from the idea that our minds and bodies are inextricably connected and many of our behaviors are motivated by our biology. We are always trying to meet a need from the patterns we engage in, but sometimes the patterns are learned from early relationships or in a certain situations and become over-applied to the rest of our lives causing issues. I think the therapeutic relationship is a place where we can take a look at these patterns and you can have someone tell you all the strengths they see and be direct about some of the struggles others might not see or might not know how to talk about. Through this relationship and through working with techniques like mindfulness, psychoeducation, EMDR, and skills building, we can work to try to move the things that are keeping you stuck.
