Professional statement

Louise is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee and Pennsylvania, who works with adults across both individual and couples sessions. Her therapeutic strengths lie in working with clients who feel overwhelmed by their daily lives. They feel unbalanced, unsure about what direction to take their careers or relationships, and face burnout or emotional fatigue. They seek clarity as a way to relieve their anxieties or low moods. Often, these feelings are the result of unresolved emotional pain.

Louise helps clients to align their lives to what’s important and comfortable for them. Clients set goals for themselves and, with Louise’s support, explore how they can meet these goals through introspection and shifting unhelpful patterns. These patterns might be thought patterns or dynamics created during traumatic experiences, no longer serving the client and blocking them from feeling whole and connected. Louise utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, compassion focused therapy, mindfulness and somatic techniques in her work with clients. Her approach is holistic, taking into account the mind, body, and spirit as clients engage in self-growth.

Louise earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Ball State University, with a minor in Interpersonal Relations. She later earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, with a dual specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Barry University in Miami, FL. She has over 20 years of experience working in mental health and in the nonprofit field and enjoys empowering clients to use effective coping strategies to overcome whatever challenges arise in their lives.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure where to begin or have tried therapy before and felt stuck. My hope is that our work together provides a space where you feel comfortable slowing down, being honest about what you’re experiencing, and exploring challenges with curiosity rather than judgment.

In sessions, we will move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you. Some clients come to therapy looking for practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm, while others want to understand deeper patterns that may be shaping how they think, feel, and relate to others. Together we’ll focus on building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and supporting your ability to respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to support you in developing the awareness and skills that help you feel more grounded, balanced, and aligned with the life you want to be living.
