Professional statement

Lynelle S. Kearney, MA, LMFT (she/her) serves individuals, couples, and families via her HIPPA compliant virtual platform in California and the state of Washington. Many of Lynelle’s clients come in to address anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, life transitions, and conflict in their relationships. Lynelle is particularly passionate about serving teens, young adults, and couples. She also has advanced experience and training in the areas of victim/survivors of abuse including sexual violence, trauma, somatic therapies, and couples/marital counseling.

Lynelle is trained in EMDR (Certified), Internal Family Systems (IFS Informed), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These research backed models of therapy address the whole person, going beyond traditional talk therapy, via the lenses of attachment science, the nervous system and Parts work. In session, Lynelle can teach you grounding tools to soothe your nervous system in the beginning of therapy if that is something that interests you. The real healing will occur with the depth work she is adept at facilitating for you in the sacred space of the therapeutic relationship: To decrease challenging thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in order for you to be more aligned with your true authentic self. As a pastoral counselor, Lynelle is also available to assist you on your spiritual journey.

Lynelle's style is active, engaging, curious and direct. When clients first start therapy, she establishes a strong therapeutic bond wherein they feel safe and heard.

Lynelle received their Masters in Relationship and Pastoral Therapy from Seattle University where her theological formation and clinical training shaped her as a holistic and advanced clinician. Her experience includes serving others in community mental health, a sexual assault center, and group private practice. Outside of private practice, she enjoys spending time at the ocean and with family and friends. Lynelle offers virtual sessions only at this time.

Welcome to my profile. I’m glad you are here.

I serve teens, adults, couples, and families in California and Washington state.

I have experience and advanced training in the areas of post traumatic stress, victim/survivors of abuse, first responders, couples therapy, and the research backed somatic therapies you might have heard about like EMDR and Internal Family Systems. I go beyond traditional talk therapy via the lenses of attachment science, the nervous system, and parts work.

I truly consider it an honor and privilege to be in service to others in the sacred space of the therapeutic relationship and happy to answer any questions you might have in a complimentary consultation.
