Message to clients

Hi, I’m Dr. Marisol Meyer, a licensed psychologist who works with adults, teens, and children navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and acculturation stress. I create a warm and affirming therapeutic space to ensure that your identity and values always center our work.

My approach to therapy is strengths-based, compassionate, and culturally-responsive. Based on your unique needs, goals, and values, I use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Therapy to help you develop insight, build healthy coping skills, and utilize your personal strengths to heal and grow.

I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami after completing a BA in Psychology from Dartmouth College. My experience providing therapy in diverse settings (such as outpatient, community mental health, school, hospital, forensic, and child welfare) has gifted me with a deep understanding of the ways in which who and where we are can influence our mental health.

I celebrate the courage it takes to begin therapy and would be honored to collaborate with you. Together, we’ll combine my expertise in therapeutic intervention and your expertise in your lived experience to achieve your goals.
