Professional statement

I am a holistic mental health counselor in North Kingstown, Rhode Island with expertise in burnout, mind-body wellness, and life transitions (perinatal/postpartum, college students).

I also have a particular interest in clinical supervision for professionals who are new to the field or are looking to establish more support for themselves.

When our mind and body are disconnected we often experience psychological (anxiety, depression, irritability, uncertainty about our path in life) or physiological (headaches, stomach upset, muscle tension, fatigue) distress. Once we are able to accurately identify the signals our body has been trying to send us and connect it to the emotions we are feeling, we can begin to change the way we react to our environment and the patterns we've put in place to keep ourselves safe.

There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to therapeutic work. I have found that by combining talk therapy (Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with holistic modalities, such as auricular (ear) acupuncture, Holy Fire Reiki energy, hypnotherapy and sound therapy, we can let down our guard and access the inner wisdom we hold to lead a heart-centered, full life.

Message to clients

The Healing Space is a place intended to provide the support and encouragement to connect with our truest selves.

There are what appear to be pivotal moments in our lives where we are presented with the opportunity for change. Disconnection from self, lack of support from others, or the overwhelming feeling of stuck-ness can keep us from choosing the unknown, what we think might be "better". We do not simply get over emotions, feelings, events - we must sit in and go through them to learn about the resiliency within us. It is an honor to hold space for this process. It is my hope that through witnessing, education, and encouragement, you feel empowered to use the tools to support the necessary steps toward a more authentic life.
