Dr. Matthew Mooers is a Licensed Psychologist at PVD Psychological Associates. He is licensed in the state of Rhode Island and has the authority to practice in all PSYPACT participating states. Dr. Mooers offers online and in-person individual therapy to older adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages. His areas of specialization include: anxiety disorders, trauma-related concerns, relationship difficulties, working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, couples therapy, and identity/personal values exploration.
Dr. Mooers earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at Roosevelt University, and has experience working in university counseling centers (i.e. Northeastern Illinois University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Wichita State University). He also trained at United Stand and Guada Psychological Services in the Greater Chicago Area, as well as the School Based Health Clinic in Haysville, Kansas. Dr. Mooers completed his postdoctoral fellowship at PVD Psychologist prior to taking on his staff psychologist role.
