Megan is an MIT educated former tech professional turned therapist. She works with elite, ambitious clients who feel motivated to change, but "stuck" in familiar patterns, emotional, thought loops, relationships, or habits. Rather than taking a purely passive or reflective stance, Megan brings an active, collaborative approach to therapy. She partners closely with clients to clarify goals, identify what isn’t working, and design practical, real-world experiments that support meaningful change. Many of her clients are highly capable, successful professionals, engineers, founders, operators, and executives who want a therapist who can think with them -- not just listen.
Megan works with both individuals and couples navigating burnout, overthinking, relationship challenges, and questions of purpose or direction. She is particularly skilled at helping clients who feel “high-functioning but stuck” translate insight into action.
She also has specialized experience working with clients in nonmonogamous, polyamorous, and alternative relationship structures. Megan approaches this work without pathologizing, and with a strong understanding of the unique communication, boundary-setting, and attachment dynamics that can arise. She supports clients in building relationships that are intentional, ethical, and aligned with their values -- whether that involves navigating jealousy, strengthening communication, or redefining what partnership looks like.
For virtual therapy, Megan works with clients throughout California and the Bay Area (San Francisco, San Jose, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Mill Valley, etc). For in-person therapy, Megan sees clients from her office in Berkeley, CA. Megan is currently accepting new clients Monday-Thursday. Interested clients can book a free 15-minute consultation call directly through her website*, just google First Principles Therapy. (*Zencare call scheduling does not sync with therapist's calendar, but the Book Now button on the First Principles Therapy website does!)
