Hi, I’m Melanie (she/her).
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a middle school teacher. That experience taught me how powerful it is to have someone in your corner who truly listens and understands what you’re carrying. Today, I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, grief, and big life transition... especially high-achievers who feel worn down by pressure, perfectionism, or old wounds that won’t quite let go.
My work is shaped by both training and lived experience, including the loss of my brother to addiction and my father to cancer. Those losses deeply inform how I sit with clients through pain, uncertainty, and change. I also lead workshops focused on grief, church hurt, and healing from sexual trauma, and I’m both faith-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to perform or explain yourself, just show up as you are.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an Affiliate Professor at USF’s Honors College, and like many of the driven women I work with, I know what it’s like to carry a lot and still feel like it’s never quite enough. If you’re feeling stuck, exhausted, or ready to do things differently, I’d be honored to support you as you move toward more clarity, compassion, and ease.
